Revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2025 -(Compliance Requirements)

Course Information:

This course is a part of dedicated series of short courses designed to support the VET sector in transitioning to the Revised Standards for RTOs in 2025. As the sector adopts a more outcomes-focused regulatory framework, it is imperative that all professionals from leadership to frontline staff develop a shared understanding of the Outcome Standards, Credential Policy and Compliance Requirements along with their practical application.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the compliance obligations relating to information management, marketing and advertising, student identifiers, AQF certification, and transition of training products for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). It aims to ensure that all RTO staff and affiliates are equipped with the knowledge to maintain transparency, protect student data, and uphold the integrity of nationally recognised training.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Explain the principles of secure information and student data management.
• Identify and apply marketing and advertising requirements under the Standards for RTOs.
• Describe the requirements for issuing AQF certification documentation.
• Recognise the correct use of the Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) logo.
• Ensure accurate verification and use of Unique Student Identifiers (USIs).
• Manage the transition of training products in compliance with the National Register.
• Implement processes to maintain transparency and protect the integrity of training and assessment services.
