Revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2025 -(Credential Policy)

Course Information:

This course is a part of a dedicated series of short courses designed to support the VET sector in transitioning to the Revised Standards for RTOs in 2025. As the sector adopts a more outcomes-focused regulatory framework, it is imperative that all professionals from leadership to frontline staff develop a shared understanding of the Outcome Standards, Credential Policy and Compliance Requirements along with their practical application.

The course introduces the key components of the Revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations, Credential Policy, framework. Participants will develop a good understanding of the Credential Policy in order for them to align their organisation’s systems and practices with the new regulatory requirements and build confidence in preparation for compliance monitoring and audits.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the purpose and scope of a Credential Policy in an RTO context
• Identify types of credentials issued and their regulatory requirements
• Apply correct processes for issuing, verifying, and reissuing AQF documentation
• Recognise the role of the Unique Student Identifier (USI) in credentialing
• Maintain compliance with Standards for RTOs and internal credentialing procedures
• Contribute to the integrity and quality assurance of the RTO’s certification processes
